    Dear ‘Roy’,

I found it an interesting article to read in the Guardian “Union deal lets postal workers down’.

I am a part time postal worker and I find the new agreements could be sending part time workers’ contracts/conditions into the murky mire.

Surely the agreements negotiated between union and RM have been established by full time workers who have not taken part time workers’ pay seriously. Why don’t those full time workers realise that us part timers are also holding down these jobs as our own full time job with equally full time money and family commitments to meet?

The scaled down improved pay agreement for part time workers will leave us floundering to ‘make ends meet’, with no opportunity to supplement our pay elsewhere through agreed RM later working time.

I would encourage part timers to reject the deal in any vote.

    Regards,
